The Winagami Lake cottage area sits between the Big Lakes County Municipal Reserve and Winagami Lake Provincial Park (campground), along the north shore of the lake. The map below shows the cabin area and surrounding classified land ownership.

Provincial Park Rules & Regulations

Cottage owners should be aware of the rules regarding:

• ATV use in the cottage area
• The Environmental Reserve
• Dead / hazardous tree removal
• Development permits (arranged through Big Lakes County)

Municipality & Environmental Reserve

• The main roadway into the cottage subdivision (RR 181A) is maintained by Big Lakes County; the roads within the six cottage blocks are maintained by the Parks Division.
• Big Lakes County holds title to the environmental reserve between the cottage subdivision and the lakeshore. Permission for any activity or land use within the environmental reserve must be obtained from the municipality.

Hunting in Winagami Lake Provincial Park

• Waterfowl hunting is permitted only over the bed and shore of Winagami Lake — see the map for shoreline exclusions.
• Hunters require firearms discharge permits to hunt game species.
• Target shooting is prohibited.
